You should contact your supervisor should you require assistance.\n<\/div>\n<p>Here is a summary of some of the features available:<\/p>\n<h1>Exempt from secure browser<\/h1>\n<p>If this is enabled, a test-taker will not need to use the secure browser to take the test. This is useful if they need to use tools that are incompatible with the lockdown features.<\/p>\n<h1>Item substitutions<\/h1>\n<p>Test authors can set item substitutions, and the system assigns test-takers allocated a particular code with the substitute item. This covers requirements where a test-taker requires audio, visual or motor assistance. This option can also be utilised to assign items in different languages where relevant.<\/p>\n<h1>Zoom tool<\/h1>\n<p>The zoom tool gives test-takers the option to zoom into questions. We’ve covered this topic in detail <a href=\"https:\/\/help.janison.com\/test-takers\/zoom-tool\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h1>larger font sizes in Rich Text Editor<\/h1>\n<p>In extended text question types with rich text editor enabled, a test-taker normally only has the 14 and 16pt font sizes available to them. When this setting is active, test-takers have font size options of 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 36, & 48pt.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.janison.com\/test-takers\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2024\/01\/large-fonts-2.jpg\" alt=\"text editor with font sizes highlighted.\" width=\"665\" height=\"391\"><\/p>\n<h1>Test Player Theme<\/h1>\n<p>Administrators can use themes to support test-takers needing accommodations, for example for  visual impairments. without relying on a traditional mouse or touch input. You can view the keyboard shortcuts by selecting Shift + ? as highlighted below.<\/p>\n<div class=\"important-box\"><strong>Important<\/strong>: If keyboard shortcuts are not working for you, it\u2019s possible that the system administrator has disabled this feature.<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/help.janison.com\/test-takers\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/12\/keyboard.png\" alt=\"Keyboard with the shift and ? keys highlighted\" width=\"\" height=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The menu that displays is dynamic and changes depending on the screen you have open, and the features in the test player that are turned on. For example, you won\u2019t see shortcuts related to volume if your test does not include sound.<\/p>\n<p>This is an example of what you’ll see when you open the shortcut menu when in an extended text question type.
