To add an image custom attribute:

  1. Select Image from the Type drop-down field.
  2. Enter the number of pixels for the width of the image in the Width (pixels) field (optional). The system will scale the uploaded image to this width.
  3. Enter the number of pixels for the height of the image in the Height (pixels) field (optional). The system will scale the uploaded image to this height.


    Entering both a width and a height will cause the uploaded image to be distorted, unless it the image is already the same size or ratio.

  4. Enter the alt text for the image in the Alt text field (optional). This is alternative text that will display if images are turned off in the browser or be read by a screen reader.
  5. Enter the maximum number of kilobytes the image file being uploaded can be in the Max File Size (KB) field (optional). End users will not be able to upload an image with a file size larger than the maximum file size set.

  6. Select the Linked Objects expandable section and then complete the following for each location the custom attribute needs to display:

    1. Select the system object from the Object drop-down field. This is where the image upload field will display for end users.
    2. Enter text into the Caption field. This text will be the label for the float text entry field.
    3. Enter text into the Hint Text field (optional). This will provide the end user with a hint when they hover over the Hint question mark icon next to the custom attribute.
    4. Select the Mandatory checkbox to set the float text entry field as an item that must be completed (optional).
    5. Select the Inactive checkbox (optional). This will set the link as inactive and the float text entry field will not be shown to end users in this location.

    6. To remove a link between a system object and the custom attribute, select the Remove icon next to it.

  7. Select Save Custom Attribute.
