Add and remove instructors

Tip

Adding someone as an instructor allows them to do the following for the test they are added to:

  • Change test guideline settings
  • View a list of candidates and their account details
  • Review candidate videos and scans
  • Reconcile offline tests
  • Add instructors
  • Run reports

You will need to add an instructor for each test. Viewing the list of instructors for a test and adding a new instructor are done on the same screen in Proctortrack.

To view the list of instructors and/or add an instructor to a test:

  1. Check the correct test is active in Proctortrack.
    • As instructors are viewed and added per test, the required test needs to be active.
    • The name of the active test is shown at the top of the instructor dashboard. If this is not the test for which you want to view or add instructors, select CHANGE TEST and choose the correct test.
    • Refer to the Changing the active test page for more information on active tests.

  2. On the instructor dashboard, select EDIT then select Add Instructor.

  3. The Add Instructor to Test screen displays. Instructors for the active test are shown in the Available instructors for Test list at the bottom of the screen.

  4. To add a new instructor:
    1. Enter the instructor’s details in the First name, Last name and Instructor email fields.

      Tip

      The email you enter will be set as the instructor’s username. Proctortrack will check this username against instructors already in the system. If the instructor already exists, Proctortrack will use the name details from the existing record and not what is entered here.

    2. Select Add.

    3. A confirmation message appears at the top of the screen and the instructor is addded to the Available instructors for Test list at the bottom of the screen.
      • If the instructor did not already exist in Proctortrack, they will receive an email with their Proctortrack account details.
      • The instructor will have access to the test when they log in to Proctotrack.

  5. To remove an instructor from a test:
    1. Select Remove next to the required instructor in the Available instructors for Test list.

    2. A popup displays confirming the instructor has been removed from the test. Select OK.

    3. The instructor is no longer shown in the list for this test.
