Paper settings (Print templates)

Paper settings gives you the option to print your tests in varying formats. The outputs vary based on the selected template in your test or module. Printouts can be handy if you need to deliver the test in a paper-based format, or if you would like to review the test on paper. Your Janison account manager will assist in the selection of templates and setup of your paper tests.

You can access the print features at a module level by selecting the print icons, Print View & Print View With Metadata.

You can access the print features at a test level by selecting the print icons, Print View & Print Mark Scheme.

Important: The output examples below are generated using the selected templates. Templates could vary per site or tenant.

Module print view

Accessing this feature from the module will generate these prints with all test items in the module.

Open a module and select the Print View link.

Below is an example of the output.

Module Print view with Metadata includes information relating to the items such as item type, correct responses, item creator and other metadata as in the screen capture below.

Test print view

From a test level, You can also access the print features by selecting the print icons, Print View & Print Mark Scheme. Generating these prints  from the test will only return items in the test.

Below is an example of a test Print View. This paper version of the test could be undertaken by test-takers if required.

Below is an example of a test Print Mark Scheme. In this example there are two views available, Simplified and Extended.

Settings

You can set default templates which will be automatically selected when you create a module or a test. Navigate to Settings > Test Designer Settings > Paper based test Print Settings.

You can override these templates at a module or test level if required.

At the module level you can override all of the template selections.

At the test level, you have the option to override the test print templates.

Prerequisites

In order for the print options to display, your Delivery and Marking modes on your test must be set to Mixed.
