Item types
A graphic order interaction item type requires test-takers to drag and drop numbers onto designated hotspots on an image to indicate the correct order.
Graphic order interaction item types are a similar concept to order interaction item types, where text or images are dragged into order.
You can try this item type in the practice test to the right. You can view an example of the item type in the slideshow below.

Open this test in the Janison test player and complete an example of a graphic order interaction item.

Navigate to Author > Items.

Select Add Test Item from the Actions drop-down.

The New Test Item screen displays.
Complete the form as required. Below is an example of an new item we created.
Select Graphic Order Interaction as the item type.

In the next section we can set the orientation and add the image.
Orientation – The options are Above and Below. This will determine if the bay of selections are located above or below the interaction body.
You now have an option to add an Image. Select the image icon.

The resources manager displays. You can either select an existing image or upload a new image.

Once the image has uploaded (see screen capture below) you have an option to upload a new image or to edit the image using the image icon at the top right

Using a shape tool, draw shapes on or near the images that are to be drop areas for the numbers by clicking and then dragging to the required size.

Once you have placed the shape, you can make adjustments using the fields below. Adjusting the Width and Height will adjust the size of the shape.
You can move the shape by clicking on it and then dragging. The coordinates in the Top and Left fields will reflect the moves.
In the example below, we have used the rectangle tool and we have clicked into the second shape.

In this example, if you set the Max choices field to 3, only three number options for the four trees would be available for test-takers. This allows test authors to increase the difficulty by including a distractor option.
When you enter a Label, it displays on the hotspots to help you identify them. These labels are not visible to test-takers. You can then set the Correct Order that the test-takers must drag the numbers in.

Graphic order interaction item types are system marked. The test-taker must select all correct responses to get the item correct.
