Learning Asset Settings

Lock edits to Learning Assets

This setting allows an administrator to prevent learning assets from being edited when they are in a Catalogue Item with a status of Public (Available in Catalogue) or Private (Not in Catalogue).

Browse to Settings > Learning Asset Settings.

1. Select Lock when in a published catalogue item.
2. Select Save Learning Asset Settings.

User experience

When an admin user opens a learning asset linked to a Catalogue Item with a status of Public or Private, they will not see an edit button. They will be provided with feedback explaining why the asset cannot be edited.

Roles

Any role can be edited to override this restriction by setting Can Edit Locked Assets to Allow. This option can be found under the Role area of Learning Asset which sits under Learning Manager.

Allow Shared Progress Expiry

This setting will make Catalogues Items with shared progress expire together when an expiry date has been set on a Catalogue Item. Browse to Settings > Learning Asset Settings.

1. Select Allow shared progress expiry.

2. Select Save Learning Asset Settings.
